Claude Monet was born in Paris, France, in 1804. Monet's paintings were a lot of water, boats, ponds, and lakes. Those were his favorite subjects. Monet loved the way colors reflected in the water. Monet loved the idea of painting outdoors. Claude Monet lived to be 86 years old. Claude Monet didn't do very good in school. Also, he had a good sense of humor. He didn't listen to anybody.
