Crowd DrawingFifth and sixth grade students drew seven dictated characters in a crowded situation and then guessed where the characters were standing. Can you guess where they are? The pictures were drawn in Kid Pix and then transferred into ClarisWorks, where students wrote a story about their characters. Follow the Crowd Drawing link above to student examples, the lesson plan, and the evaluation sheet. |
|
Students colored body parts, then moved them into the body and labeled them. After naming and decorating their person, the Kid Pix documents were put into a class slide show. |

4th Grade ArtistsStudents in the fourth grade at Daniel Elementary "painted" pictures using the Kid Pix program. They modeled their paintings after one of six artists. This project is part of a combined unit taught by their classroom teachers, Mrs. Onishi and Mrs. Stern, and in their Media Block class with Ms. Peto. Students viewed paintings in books, on laserdisc and on CD-ROM before practicing different artist styles in Kid Pix and then transferring their work to the Internet. By clicking on their pictures, you will see a larger image and can read their interpretation of their picture in relation to the artist they chose. |
