September is the month we put emphasis on keyboarding skills. Third graders receive an introduction and fourth through sixth graders practice to increase their speed and accuracy. There are many internet links that offer free keyboarding games and skill building. You can connect to the ones we use at school by clicking on the word Keyboarding. It is important that when students use these tools that they use correct fingering. Happy keyboarding!
The Tech Team is a group of fourth, fifth and sixth grade students who provide student and staff technology support at Daniel Elementary. They are assigned to assist students and staff with integrated technology. In addition, they train one day a week. Tech Team members also clean and maintain hardware, install software, and troubleshoot technology problems. They are developing confidence and responsibility as well as technological skills.
