| Rich Reading - Home School Reading partnership. Students track
minutes read each night and submit a report to earn special privileges,
recognition, and awards. |
| Field Trips - Students learn more about their community and
environment by visiting a variety of community resources. |
| Young Author's Day - A special day devoted to the art of
writing. An author visits the school and shares his or her stories as
well as a bit about how they got started. Student spend the following
day in Writer's workshop activities. Parent volunteers are needed to
assist with small group lessons. |
